Echoes of Aincrad Wiki - Two-Handed Sword
Charged heavy damage and roll-style dodges for players who can read enemy recovery windows.
Tempo: Charged commitmentSlow-strike weapon with powerful charged attacks and long reach that creates large openings.
Longer heavy-weapon reach with no shield fallback.
- Brave Leap
- Backlash
Best For
- Charged hits
- Boss punish windows
- Patient players
- High-value openings
Risk Notes
- No shield means missed reads become costly.
- Charged attacks need real openings from stagger, partner pressure, or boss recovery.
- Stamina must be reserved for roll recovery after heavy commitment.
No shield and slow commitment. Boss rooms punish panic attacks once the barrier closes.
Two-Handed Sword is a commitment weapon. It trades shield safety for charged attacks, heavier damage windows, and a roll-style dodge that needs to be learned separately from standard evasion.
Role
Heavy striker. The weapon converts enemy knowledge into damage, but it does not forgive guessing. Every charged swing should be tied to a real opening: boss recovery, stagger, partner pressure, or a safe route clear.
Combat loop
Wait for the enemy to finish, charge only when the window is real, then roll out before the next sequence begins. Keep stamina available for the roll; a missed heavy attack without stamina backup is the easiest way to lose a boss attempt.
Partner fit
Switch Mode support is valuable because it can buy the time needed to charge attacks. Healing support makes learning safer, while control support can create cleaner windows against elites.
Use it when
- You already understand enemy recovery windows.
- You prefer fewer, higher-value attacks over constant pressure.
- You can play patiently inside locked boss fights.
